ORDINANCE FOR MASTER IN COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
1.
The Degree of Master in Computer Applications shall comprise
a course of study over a period of six semesters in three Academic years and the
candidates will be full time regular students. The course is divided into three
parts (i) Part first spread over two semesters and (ii) part second spread over
two semesters (iii) part second spread over two semesters.
2.
The eligibility for admission shall be as follows :-
a)
A student who has passes 10+2 examination of secondary
school education Board,
Bhopal
with mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 examinations or its equivalent and
have passed B.Sc / B.Com/ BCA. The eligibility for admission and Division / percentage
of aggregate marks required for admission in the first academic semester of M.C.A.
course of study will be as per the directions from Professional Examination Board.
b)
Age maximum 25 years.
c)
Minimum age of 20 years on 1st July of year
of admission.
3.
The total
number of seats shall be maximum 30 for each year of the course. Upto 15% seats
additional may be filled up by foreign students of NRI or students sponsored by
NRIs as per University Govt. guidelines from time to time in this respect.
4.
The schedule
of fee for this course will be as per recommendation of the committee setup by Kulpati
and subject to approval of Executive Council.
5.
Details
of subjects to be taught during three years (six semester course) curriculum pattern
and examination scheme for each year course shall be formed and implemented as per
recommendation of Board of Studies.
6.
Eligibility
for the Degree : A candidate shall be eligible for the Degree of Master in Computer
Applications. When he has undergone the prescribed course of study for a period
of not less than 6 semesters of 3 academic years in the Department / Institute of
study and passed requisite no. papers and credits prescribed in by the Board of
Studies in the scheme of examination.
7.
Requirement
for examination and admission :
1)
Examination will be conducted
by
Barkatullah University
,
Bhopal
.
2)
Examination shall be in theory
and practical as stipulated.
3)
A candidate will be permitted
to appear for the examination only if
a)
The candidate has put up in a minimum attendance of 76%
of the lectures on each of the subjects as well as in practical classes provided
that in exceptional case for reasons to be recorded and communicated, University
may can done shortfall as required by this rules.
b)
He obtains a certificate from the Head of the Institutes
of having satisfactorily completed the course of study prescribed in the subject,
his conduct has been satisfactory, and his/her performance in its internal tests
has been satisfactory, and credit provided in the scheme of examination.
8.
The provisions
of this course in respect of examination attendance, results and grades are subject
to alteration from time to time and shall also confirm to guidelines of AICTE /
UGC/MHRD/Govt. of India/Statutes and Ordinance of this University.
9.
A candidate
will be permitted to appear in the examination of the course for a maximum period
of 6 years. If he /she fails to clear the course within that period, he/she will
be dropped out of the course.
10.
Medium of instructions
will be presently English.
NOTE : A) These rules may be
changed / amended/improved according to the necessity.
B) These rules will be effective under the University statute regulations and ordinances.
C) Admission and Examination will be governed, as per University rules.
